Ezio is back in Ubisoft’s 4th iteration of Assassins Creed.
On Sale November 15, 2011
The game takes place during 1511 AD, in Constantinople. The main characters will be Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Altair Ibn La’Ahad, and Desmond Miles. It was stated that this will be the last game to be set in the Renaissance era and to feature Ezio and Altair. During the game Ezio discovers that Altair has sealed an artifact with in a fortress that can end the war between the Templars and the Assassins forever. The keys are hidden throughout Constantinople…
Desmond’s story will also continue in the modern day following the events that happened in Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Desmond ends up trapped in the Animus in a comatose state. To regain consciousness he has to find the key memory that links him with Altair and Ezio.
Launch Trailer (ANZ)
The game will continue its open-world gameplay from the previous one. New to the game is the hookblade, which can be used in combat or, to get around the city quicker by using zip lines. The game will also have some 1st person plat forming missions which is also new to the series. The game is also 3D compatible on all 3 platforms.
Multiplayer is also making its return from Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, with a few new features. Players can now customize their character’s appearance and weapons. Ubisoft says that the matchmaking and the UI has been improved on (it was a pain in the ass trying to get into a game with my friends in Brotherhood even with all the patches…).
Assassins Creed: Revelations is looking to be another great addition to the series. The story was just heating up at the end of Brotherhood, so I’m stoked to see what happens next.
