Pulse for Android - Quick App Review

Pulse
Developer: Alphonso Labs
Version: 2.8.5

Google Play Description
“Meet Pulse. A beautiful application that makes reading news fun and engaging.
Pulse News is a beautiful app that takes your favorite websites and transforms them into a colorful and interactive mosaic. Tap on an article to see a clean and elegant view of the news story. Save stories for reading later across all platforms or sync them with Instapaper, Read it Later and Evernote. Sharing a story via Facebook, Twitter and email is as easy as two taps.”

What is it?
Pulse is a news reader app similar to Google Currents. You basically add your favorite news websites and  when the site updates so does your feed.  It shows pictures as well as play flash videos within the app.

Pros:
- Clean UI
- Updates stories pretty quickly
- Flash Enabled
- You can share with social media in the app
- Read it later functions

Cons:
- Sharing Option are limited to Twitter, Google+, Email, and Facebook.
- In app browser feels a little clunky
- Page layout is sometimes off….

My Thoughts:
This is the best news reader I’ve used on android. It just works like it should in a timely manner compared to others out there such as Google Currents which is slow to update stories, and is laggy at times. If you need a decent RSS reader / news reader this is the one that you are probably looking for.
